Thanks Tas ๐ I am quite happy with it, I rarely paint anything 'cause I hate the smell and it usually makes me sick. My lil ol' cottage is def a work in progress but hey who cares lol
BC Shall look forward to seeing the after pics. Do you have anything in mind for the "clean up"? Lovely your family are willing pitch in and help you.
Freddie Thay have mucked you around for long enough, time to take action me thinks
Sandy I am looking forward to seeing the after pics of the cake
Those shoes reminded me of a series called "The Battlers" and how much she wanted a pair of red shoes.
Today is the first time my awning has really been put to the test, it certainly has made a huge difference to the heat coming into the sunroom. Seems funny to say "sunroom" when I am trying to stop the sun from coming in lol

A few years ago we painted the side of the house in preparation for awnings. Sliced about three degrees off the "core" temperature of each room at the end of a few hot days. Quite a difference. The sun room, became habitable of an evening ๐

Amber They sure do make a difference, it also keeps helps keep the cold out through winter as no condensation can form on the window. The best part is, that all I have to do is sit inside and push a button to control it, which suits me just fine

Bluecat, so sorry that your ex is giving you such grief ... ... there is really no need for it, shame on him.
Love what you are doing with your back yard too, it's going to be so different and lovely, all worth the effort.
Bushie ... I think we're going to take your lead and do some spray painting on some of our bits and pieces that need refurbishing, hadn't thought of doing it that way before, thanks for the heads up.
