After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

I've seen that Amber. How long does it stay nice for?
on โ21-11-2014 10:26 PM
Amber, that is just stunning! We have 2 different gardenias here- one was already established and flowers really well, and then I have a (I think) star one in a pot - smaller flowers with only one layer of petals, but they smell just as nice!
Bushie (I think it was!) I am in the same town as Freddie
I'm glad I am not in Victoria, I couldn't stand the blurdy phone ringing all the time with political rubbish! As a rule of thumb here, the phone calls are either scammers or appointment reminders!

re the political ph calls, I really think people need to be given a choice whether to receive them of not, it's getting way out of hand imo

Joono, a cut flower indoors in a cool spot can last about a week.

Good morning ๐
Just took my morning stroll around my garden checking all my plants, do others do this each morning? I know my late mum always did, she was a wonderful gardener, there often are times I wish she was still here to tell me things I didn't ask when she was alive ๐ Lovely drop of rain overnight, so everything looks fresh and clean.

Good morning everyone.
Love the gardenias. I have a miniature one that I don't have much luck with. I moved it and it eventually flowered but hasn't done much since. I do have self sewn lobelia everywhere - that seems to grow well, and usually get self sewn snapdragons as they finish. I even have 1 self sewn poppy in a pot of pansies.
Bushie, I go and look at the vegies. I planted some parsnips and never thought they'd come up. Read in the Yates book they take up to 4 weeks to germinate and they are just coming up now. They take about 20 weeks to mature so they'll be ready for soups in winter.
Hope everyone has a good Saturday - I'll be icing cakes then we have a family bbq at a cousin's tonight.

Good morning Sandy, Pleased 'Im not the only one who take a morning "garden checking stroll", I hope the icing behaves itself for you this time, well done re your parsnips ๐
I have a question for the passionfruit people ... I took this pic this morning, there seem to been heaps forming on the "rouge" vine, will they mature or do I rip the whole wine out and just leave the other one there? I am passionfruit "illiterate"lol

Morning lovelies, it was so hot yesterday I don't know how many times I said to Mr F thank goodness for the new air con, looks like today's expected temp to be about 29deg so lots cooler today. Lovely gardenia's, I have a ground cover gardenia with lots of buds and flowers the bigger shrub I had was pulled out in the garden redo.
I had a big clean up and wipe down after Mr Builder left yesterday, thank goodness all the jack hammer stuff is finished, so it's all ahead from Monday with the wall waterproofing and tiling.

Waves good morning to Freddie and wonders if she has heard back for the "mirror lady"?
