My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

So I am not the only one painting! Smiley Wink

Back madly renovating down south - I managed to finish painting the whole ensuite today. Had planned to do a couple of doors as well but the rotten thing needed 3 coats of paint (why does pink just keep shining through??) so that didn't happen.....maybe next time? We've got to ramp things up just a bit though -

The "up north" house is now officially sold. We have to be out by the 21st April Smiley Surprised

No way will this place be finished by then..... looks like we are moving in with no kitchen!

Still, we got pretty well what we wanted for it... it just sold MUCH quicker than anyone expected (including our RE agent)!!

Exciting to sell and move.
Did you use a Prep coat on the pink? I used one on the doors and only needed 2 coats.

B G We used an oil based undercoat on some of our walls, smells a bit but covers everything without the old colour/s bleeding through, so worth it in the end.

Congrats re selling your house, kitchens dont take that long to install and at least you will be there to supervise.

We only had a month to get everything out of our last house, so everything was a bit of a rush. Must admit is was the best thing we have every done, really loving the country life.

Good morning

Another great day to be outside working, so pleased we don't get the continual heat here, too much to get done outside atm. Raised veggie pallets gardens are coming together nicely, laid some bricks between them yesterday, looks so much neater, than bare dirt.

Not my pic, but gives an idea of what we are trying to achieve

Afternoon all,

Was up before dawn this morning, Watch the sun rise on a dead still morning

as I went for another walk with the GF and the dog. Built up a nice sweat again.

Saw a rabbit or two down by the creek, used to be heaps but no longer.

The Endorphins are kicking in after the two walks in two days

so got the "happy face" on Smiley LOL

Anyway, everyone have a good day.

Smiley LOL

Water based prep coats are so good these days, I used it on my oil based painted gloss doors before I painted with water based gloss and the results are fantastic, no turps smell and clean up is brilliant. Just completed the last door, the ensuite one, so happy with the finish.
However, this is the very last reno I am doing, it was great when I was younger, lol.
Spending some time relaxing today, by the pool.

Luck you, Azure.  Stinking hot day again.

You are so right.  Renovating is good but not when it becomes just hard work.

Hi Bushie and all ~~~~~waves to MIAs

That little purple pansy poking through the slats there, reflects the lasiandras (tibouchinas) coming into flower hereabouts.

Awfully, humid today, not a breath of wind earlier on, appears there was some backburning over in the valley - bit smokey.
