Anyhoo, off we went to NRMA to claim under our portable home contents insurance and guess what? It's not covered ๐ seems we didn't tick that particular box (if there ever was one) - portable electronic devices. NOT COVERED!!!
I don't think I'm going to bother replacing it. I seem to be able to do most things on my iPad and when I need more I'll just go in the dungeon (err study) and use the PC there.
Check it out sin, but we found it wasn't worth the extra premium anyway. After the excess and losing our no-claim bonus we would be better off self funding a reasonable replacement ourselves.
