NBN sub contractors

They have just turned up 10 days earlier than scheduled.

The 20 year olds look as though they've slept in their van, after partaking of a substance of some sort for the last few days. No ID or card to identify themselves or their company.

They had steel capped boots on with their board shorts and hoodies.

Their plan was to dig diagonally across the yard (including about 4 metres of concrete driveway).

I asked who was to pay for all this work on my property.   "Just the government" was the response to my apparently stupid question.

They have now gone to speak to their "big supervisor" about my suggestion of pulling the cable through an existing conduit.

Okay, has anyone else experienced similar workmen and ideas that are charged to the Government?

I don't, never have, never will condone shoddy workmanship or anything shoddy in any way.

However I have witnessed some of the contracts that the Labor Government has entered into and they are way beyond shoddy.

I also have no doubt that towards the end of Labor'd exit into oblivion they would have laid booby traps anywhere they could.

Going on past history it will take many years to clean up the mess that they created at the cost of mega buck to the taxpayer.

That is what Labor do best.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I would even go further than that.

Get out your trusty camera and take some pictures, also ask a friend who is official looking to drive up and if they have a movie camera to take some video in full sight of the workers, if the friend has a clip board they cam bring that too , for effect 🙂

you seem to miss a lot. only in the last 24 hrs its been revealed that turnbull is in fact doing what he (and yourself here) accuse the former govt of doing. the real difference is not money, it isn't slack work practices. the difference is the end result .. a vastly inferior network . they wont save a cent, it wont be 'tidier' it will merely be inferior. OK LL, let us open up the can of worms once again.

I'll start.

The NBN as sold to the voters was and is a conjob, it was a white elephant from the start and it is still around but it is now a rotting hulk.

You say that the proposed version is vastly inferior, ok, elaborate on your statement and show just how it is vastly inferior.

Trot out any argument you can come up with 🙂

i think its time for you to defend turnbulls actions, the benefits of the NBN are well established, thats why the government said it would build it ''better.. cheaper''  so far that hasn't proven to be the case. turnbull kept claiming that the labor NBN didn't have a business plan.. the link i provided indicates turnbull has no 'business plan'  which puts all his claims in real doubt Smiley Happy

Typical Libs, all that ranting and blistering about no cost benefit analysis for the NBN but they haven't produced one for badgery's creek.

And turnbulls fraudband is more expensive.

LL, It is just as i expected, you can not show "the vast superiority" of the now defunct Labor's version of the NBN.

Labor and the NBN Co. laid the landmines when they realised that they were heading off to oblivion.

I say again the NBN as sold to the voters was and is a scam of epic proportions.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
