Just to cut through some of the misconceptions surrounding the NBN.

NBN test results using http://speedtest.net tests carried out in real time one after the otherwith the same equipment

Additional test of copper network transferinr 6.7 Gb in inder 1 minute at a rate of 968 Mb/ps

Just to dispel some of the emotive comments made by commentors who have no knowledge or qualifications of the technicalities involved.

This is all too technical for me ... all I can say is that we have the NBN connected, the little whatsit thingie tells me that we have 43 Mbps connectivity, whatever that means 😉

We're really pretty happy with the NBN. My son is a gamer ... he has some super duper computer (mine is an ancient but functional set up).

We have the NBN at home too, katy. First got it in Nov 2011 (test area). Moved house and 18mths later connected to the NBN again,a few months ago ( Labor signed contract so FTTP).

Very pleased with it and the cost. A great improvement. Speed packs are optional at extra cost

All I can say is that is the first time I've ever seen 9 comments, including a few pat on the back comments, described as a plethora.
