OK.. this has been on my mind...
I live in a State that is not yet signed up to the NDIS...
Will I need to pay the new medicare levy if I am not entitled to get any funding because my State has not signed up?
I feel that I should not have to pay if I am not eligible to claim as my State has not signed up...
Is this going to be a major problem and can we be forced to pay if we do not get benefits from it?

He will sign. It was his idea originally. He is just wrangling for a change in $$.

I know he probably will.. but I was just wondering how legally this will work..
You can't have a tax system that discriminates against anyone... this one obviously will and I just can't see how the tax can be implemented without discriminating....
WA and QLD are mining States and have high income earners that will pay a higher proportion than others but right now won't benefit.
I am just curious...
