Subway removes ham and bacon from nearly 200 stores and offers halal meat only after 'strong demand' from Muslims
I wonder if this is going to happen here?

How unkind. But, no, they were not.

My Muslim friend likes my dog.
I guess there are varying degrees of adherence within every Religious group.
Dogs can be dirty, they lick their private parts................... Mine has a bone he keeps for a chew now and again, I wouldn't like him to lick me....................

Yes, that's why I was interested. Different areas, different countries, different customs within the same religion.

That varies, too. Some say that its okay to keep dogs but only if they are kept in a specific area outside as guard dogs, other say that as long as they are kept off the furniture its perfectly alright to have dogs as pets, others say that if you touch a wet dog or dog saliva then you have to wash hands x amount of times - once with dirt - to purify.

Why do I keep getting pop-up messages telling me that I just made a post on a thread that I am following? I think I sort of already know that.
