Never Tear Us Apart - Can't Wait!

CHANNEL 7 will kick start the new ratings year with its rocking biopic, INXS Never Tear Us Apart next Sunday night, we can exclusively reveal.

After the ritual pre-ratings dance with TV rival Nine over programming plans, Seven's director of production Brad Lyons confirmed the hotly-anticipated miniseries will air at 8.30pm over the next two blockbuster Sunday nights.

Lyons described the secrecy surrounding this year's scheduling as "more intense than ever'' but was confident the broad appeal of the INXS telemovie - and its script surprises - would ensure a strong ratings return.

"The appeal of INXS, apart from loving the music and being a fan myself, is ... when you drill down into it ... it's a really good underdog story. These guys started in a garage and really did take on the world.

Icy, I've never blamed Paula, I always just thought the whole thing was just very tragic, but it's interesting to hear those close to the situation giving their views on it.

Lloyd, I noticed that too, actually I enjoyed it lol

It's just that in the promo for next Sunday's the secrets of Michael Hutchence, Kirk Pengilly said he (Michael) was caught in Paula's web.

Did you watch Love Child last night? Can't say it really grabbed me.

I quite enjoyed it Icy, maybe you'll like it better once the storyline starts to develop a bit more. I love the era and loved the music

I watched the 2nd part of INXS today. I thought it was great.
I know someone who is very similar in character to the portrayal of the Hutchence character (without the fame and excessive drug taking). Artistic and beautiful and funny and charming and flawed. I cried when Michael died in the film.

I recorded Love Child but haven't watched it yet.

Woman LOL

no and I don't really even know that it looked like that back in the 60s because we hardly ever went there. It was just so out of bounds for us.

I still haven't watched either part of INXS yet. I recorded Love Child last night. Now, that I've run out of Sons of Anarchy for the moment perhaps I'll be able to catch up with my viewing. Perhaps.
