Investigators are hoping that new information will help solve the mystery of what happened to Madeleine McCann.

The then- three-year-old British girl disappeared six years ago while vacationing with her family in Portugal.

Scotland Yard is planning to release a computerized sketch of a possible person of interest in the case.

Former prosecutor Wendy Murphy joined America’s News Headquarters to discuss the development.

"I’m not buying it. I think this is more PR than anything," Murphy said. "I think this is all related to a civil suit now underway in Portugal." 

The McCanns sued the former police chief for defamation because he wrote a tell-all book.

Alisyn pointed out that the McCanns claim the Portuguese police never took the case seriously

As far as I am aware, Jane Tanner was the only one who claimed to have seen a man carrying a child near the apartment at around 9.15 - a claim which has been proved to be absolutely correct. So what 'conflicting' statements could the rest of the group have made to support her claim?

It is just the anti-McCann propaganda, spread via numerous blogs...word for word practically, repeated here.

Wendy Murphy has all that stuff on her blog, plus links to other anti McCann blogs..one eyed views.

I thought the guy that Jane Tanner saw was later identified as a father taking his child home from being minded at some hotel near by that had a creche.

I think I missed a post of yours, I dont know where the body could be, but just because she hasnt been found doesnt mean she's alive? Daniel Morcombe lay dead for years when people thought he was alive.

There is a lot to be said for positive thinking IMO.

TGSE, I know that the Police had the Smith statements .They have been online,along with the other statements (which you,me or anyone can read ) since 2008 .They now are getting more info together which includes the info found by detectives (such as the efits and reports by their PI's which as has been reported as helping them to get closer to finding Maddie) .

they do get tour info and also linked to that going by search results seems to be  a US Sen.

Hi, I agree, I actually don't believe she is alive 😞 but that doesn't mean her parents killed her, even accidently?

If it was the post I think it was, my query was related to where they could have hidden her body or disposed of it, in a foreign country, while being watched by police and media.

He was, but that doesn't make Jane Tanner's statement false or even suspicious. She said she saw a man carrying a child near the apartment d anat around 9.15 and events have provd that  she she did indeed see a man carrying a child at that time.
