The electric went out last night and just now came back on, internet is finally working. I'm gonna try to get some pics of this, Opened the camper door this morning and snow came into the camper, it was at least 20 inches high from where the door opens from the bottom. My snow shovel broke under the weight. I used a little shovel, i haven't worked this hard in a while. tired, I can't get my car out. Just stuck and freaking out over being stuck. I don't really need to go anywhere right now, just bothers me that i can't. What I wouldn't give right now for a Jeep cj5 4wd lifted 6 inches with studed tires.

Yeah, if it isn't mud slides taking Highway 1 into the Pacific, it's wild fires burning down the McMansions.......Southern California is a great place to visit, but unless I was a multi-millionaire, I wouldn't think of living there.
Oh please.....with our record drought, there's NO chance of mudslides right now. And anyone that knows anything about California, knows the earthquakes will take out the McMansions loooong before the wildfires!!
But aside from that, it's a great place to live.

It only takes one good day of rain down on "concrete land" before the SHTF..........I was down there in 1980 when the cars were floating away..........
Here in sunny Southern Oregon, we get just enough rain to keep us from drought conditions, and it's been this way for decades.

thanks, I have the propane heater on low to stretch it out as much as i can, so i'm not as warm as i'd like to be, but managing for now, been borrowing money to have the tank filled. Can't wait to get into an apartment, hopping things come through inmy plans to get established in Portsmouth. One thing is for sure, i'm gonna need a new car, my windsheild cracked when i was trying to clear the snow from it, it leaks anyway on the passenger side, and the car has been leaking oil since i had it, i just keep adding oil, but getting worse.
Least I'm not stuck anymore, that just was alot of snow, it warmed up some today, but is getting cold again about now. Just cause it's getting late in the evening. heres some pics i took today

Maybe thats what they call it in Australia. The term "van" here, implys that it can be driven, like a motorhome. Here, it's called a camper, as it was intended to be pulled behind a truck. But this one is old, it would fall apart if it were being moved or pulled behind a vehicle. The door dont shut and is falling off the hinges, there are leaks i can't seem to find where they are coming from to fix. I am not living here, this is my dad's camper and his property. I'm staying here temporarolly until i can get into an apartment, with running water, a real restroom, and kitchen. I've been living like this for two years and getting sick of it. I'm just hanging in there in hopes that something will come through for me within the next year or so.
I'm around 25 miles north of Portsmouth, and Portsmouth is where I'm trying to find a place to live. Where I applied for income based housing. I think it will be cool living down near the river, just wish they would fix these roads. lol
