Ohio kidnap accused to plead not guilty

He wouldn't have any feelings for anyone, neither would his lawyers by advising him to please not guilty ... that advice, no doubt, in the hope it will delay the trial for quite a long time.     A travesty.

Entering a not guilty plea is the way to go here in the U.S., even for speeding tickets. It's doubtful he'll get the death penalty unless they find out he kidnapped, tortured, and then murdered other victims.

IF they charged him with a capital offense (death)...he'll plead guilty to a lesser charge (life without parole) to avoid a death sentence. It also avoids an expensive trial and spares the victims of having to testify.

If he has nothing to gain by pleading guilty to lesser charge he might take it to trial. He'll probably plead to a charge which would make him eligible for parole when he's very old, but most likely he'll die before then.

He'll be kept in a cell 23 1/2 hours a day by himself the entire time. Inmates are constantly screaming at him. He might just hang himself.

The 3 women were kept captive in his private prison and torture chamber for 10 years and at least one child was DNA proved that he fathered the child so this alone should disqualify him from pleading not guilty.  I don't understand how he can plead not guilty when the DNA proves he is the father.

He can plead not guilty. Up to the court to prove he is.

In cases where the evidence is so overwhelming, they should just have a way of not having a full trial to save on cost.

High profile cases can cost tax payers millions of dollars.

That would be considered cruel and unusual punishment....not legal. As it is there are groups that fight the 23 1/2 rule. I believe they're called liberals.

Because that's not how the legal system works here. Innocent until proven guilty. A prosecutor has to prove it to 12 jurors. 12 jurors are picked from a jury pool of randomly picked citizens and then the defense attorney and prosecutor question them, dismiss some, until they agree on 12.

And it's the duty of all Americans to try to get out of jury duty, lol.

Surprises me to hear you say that. You seem so....I can't think of the right word???...Nice! 😉

You couldn't even repeat it...SEE...you're too nice. You used 8 words to write what my last five words said! 😄

When elected Ruler I'll make it so that in situations like this....The victims are awarded 'beatings'. Each victim is allowed to beat their tormentor X amount time. If they do want to they could sign over their special time to another family member or even sell their time, maybe even right here on ebay!

I'd call it beatings by proxy!

:8}  ... I don't know Jimmeh, I am generally totally against capital punishment because of the mistakes that are and have been made causing innocent people to die .. it's a dilemma.

In a case like this though, something in me just wants 'him' gone permanently.  I see no purpose for him being in a cell or wherever for the rest of his life;  mentalities like that soon adapt into their own 'worlds' and within their own psychopathic parameter, survive and feel safe ... that is what I see as useless.
