Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

TMPS, oh yes, I have mentioned that when I've been attacked and accused of whatever concerning it by the same old same olds, just like here, however, that was just about the circumstances generated by the attacks.

I respond to attacks by fact, not fiction, and for those who don't like icons, don't use them, no rules about that ... 🙂

Easy to say when you self report all your questionable posts and threads. You were wrong in this instance and so was your offsider. salvage some credibility and admit it

I'm confused ( not difficult ), was tas part of the quilt making or not?

Albie, Karen had given Tas recognition in her OP (as below).

So, thank you ♥

It WAS to me a beautiful quilt but now not so sure with it being attached to so much bitterness & spite. Pity about that.

Tas, you should know by now, & God knows you do/did, that, to direct any sort of adverse comment to any one of them, as you did Karen, sets you up as a target for the whole four of them & their bullying. They won't go you one to one.

Take it easy huh & like you said 'it won't have any affect on your life' outside this forum.

So be it *shrugs*

Well well well I am so glad to finally see the finished product Like Karen I have put off making mine but have finally decided what I am going to do.

I was pleased and very proud to present my work to Karen and I might add that I have 2 wonderful blocks beautifully stitched by her to put in my quilt.

It looks even better than your plans did Karen I am sure the boys will love to use it BUT what happens if you have more than one?????LOL

Gilly!! haha, it is adorning the boy toddler bed... so whoever is sleeping over I guess! I do have 3 grandsons but usually my daughters are kind to me and I don't get them all at the same time.
Thank you so much Gilly! the blocks get a good going over every day, as the littlies use it to tell stories about each block.
I know a couple of quilts are done and hope the owners pop in and post pics!!!

Don't forget to show us when you finish it gilly.

I love the quillows - my grandies each had one and used to take them in the car with them.
