Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Thank you. I actually made it because I saw the pic and pattern and loved it. Last months Patchwork and Quilting and it was pink.......... I have a habit of doing that.... hence why I have so many ufo's and unquilted tops.....lol

Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Almost 4 years ago, I had to make a quilt for a baby girl in a big hurry. She was an unexpected addition to the family and to make her welcome, I made this quilt for her arrival.

She is very attached to her quilt, never has slept without it, takes it everywhere with her and now it looks like this

Lesson learned, never assume it will be just a quilt.....

Ahh didn't get back until now.

And I agree with puddle.

I've not made many quilts, but I would love them to be really really used.

Zozo loves the quilt I made her (my first ever) "Zozo Quilt she says". Recently we took it on a picnic and laid it on the muddy ground...bliss.!!!

I would hate to think that any of the quilts I made were not used.

Oh I'm starting to accumulated UFOs.

Guess I really am a quilter now?

Will post pics of the princess dog quilt soon, not really proud of the stitching, but from a distance it is very blingy!!!! Might add some sequins even.................
