Old Chinwag Craft Board Block Swap 2007

Sometime in early 2007, the Craft Board quilters got together and organised a Block Swap. We had to design and prepare enough blocks to make a quilt for ourselves, provide the first block completed and send the package on to the other crafty people in the swap.
We each completed a block in everyone's set.
My quilt was for my grandsons' bedroom in my home. I set a theme of teddy bears and boy's toys.
Most of these quilts have been finished for some time....... but.... I could not make a decision on how to do mine until recently.
I learned so much in that year and can't thank everyone who was involved enough! My applique skills are much improved.
So, thank you ♥

I have also sewn the labels of the blockmakers onto the back of the quilt, behind the relevant blocks.
I made mine into a quillow, a quilt that folds into a pillow, so one of the blocks is on the back of the quilt and when folded into it, becomes a pillow.
My 3 yo grandaughter looked at it and said "Gran, that is brilliant" and that is a good recommendation, so I have to thank everyone who was involved.

Good morning/afternoon ... where has that morning gone to.

Rosie the software is called quilt design wizard and if you put the lot together and add dot com you will see the site. I bought mine off a seller here from oz. It is by the EQ people but for beginners but still has a good range of blocks some 200.

Rosie I must ask, the quilt you did for the wedding gift (first of all WOW what a wonderful keepsake!) but the squares you got everyone to write messages on did you get them to write on paper and then print onto inkjet printable cotton?

Morning ladies!

Pictures of the finished with teddy bear applique (thanks pnp:-x)

I made a carry bag for it instead of a pillowcase as I imagine it will be used as a floor quilt and can be carried in the bag to the park, Mothers Group etc.

I have a pastel one for another baby half finished.

Wow .... they look great Keeli ... The bag and quilt might even be carried to Kindy if they go. They will have the nicest bed in the Kindy/Childcare.

I love the bright colours! :-x

I just cut the squares and took a laundry marking pen with me - they used that.

Thanks kids and rosie.

Rosie!! LOL, what a surprise, you bought one!:^O

Off to check out the link, although I simply cannot spend any more money on quilting at the moment.

It's kind of an expensive hobby I am finding:-(
