What on earth would possess an old male person from Queensland to travel to Tasmania to protest about Tasmanian abortion laws and harrasss women when it clearly is none of his business what choice they make?

Abusing women that enter women's health facility is pretty stupid anyway.  Not every woman going there goes to have an abortion, they also provide contraception.  I went to one of them to get IUD and later for tubal ligation.  But he is probably against that as well.

He's obviously against it and feels strongly enough about it to protest about it. What's your problem with that?

I suppose you could say that he was exercising his right to protest.

Another nutjob who thinks he is the controller of women's bodies.

Abusing women is not exercising his right to protest.    Why do you think he has a right to abuse women?

I didn't say he had a right to protest...my remark was sarcasm.

The right to protest is not the right to aggresively get in the face of and abuse women.  There is a difference.

What have you got against women, or why do you think old men have a right to abuse them?

It's none of his business to harass women going into a medical facility.  It's rude and aggressive.

He has no right to feel strongly and act aggressively against women, let alone women he knows nothing about.  It is not his right to impose his belief upon random women he has no connection with.

Why do you think it's ok for an arrogant male to abuse women entering a women's health facility?

People have a right to protest publicy against things they feel aren't right.

In what way was the man abusive toward women entering the clinic? This is not shown in your link.

How about those people with placards calling for beheadings of non-muslims, or those ppl who were protesting against the g'ment wearing F*ck Abbott shirts.

How abusive is that?

Did they get arrested?

No. Because we are allowed a certain Freedom of Speech in this country.

A random old white male abusing women on their way to a women's health facility has nothing to do with muslims or abbott or freedom of speech.  It is against the law to aggressively abuse people, as he does, and it is against the law to protest within 150 metres of the facility.

What ever the women choose to do or do for health reason is not his business to protest about, or to abuse the women over.  It is not his business what any woman chooses to do with her life.

Most anti-abortion protesters are women:

would you feel the same if it were a young white woman, or is it just that he's an "old male white Queenslander"?

I posted about an old man travelling from Qld for the sole purpose of abusing women in Tasmania because they don't conform to his views and the fact that he thinks it his right to abuse them.

If a family or a woman chose to terminate a pregnancy, for whatever reason, it is nobody elses business.

Women's health facilities should be protected from abusive protestors of any gender.  The women are already facing a tough experience and don't need the abuse of others to compound their troubles.
