Maybe there are circumstances that haven't been revealed (like depression) but if taken at face value, I don't understand how this woman gets only 7 years for what she did to this little girl?

I read that article and I cried for that little girl and the pain she would have gone through before she died 😞

And her husband only three years for turning a blind eye. That is a shocking story. Some people have a lot to answer for. Very sad.

The system really let this little girl down. I've read that a year before her murder, she was voluntarily handed over to authorities who handed her back 9 days later.

i would hazard to guess the child was aborigional........i could be wrong
a aborigional child was killed over here in the care of child protection. have heard nothing of it since the origional report

A child is killed in QLD, therefore she must be Aborignal? Because an Aboriginal child in care elsewhere in Australia was murdered whilst in care the child in QLD must be Aboriginal?
It is misconceived stereotypical attitudes as this that perpertuates racist bull**bleep**.
