Hey Mr Grizz... BBQ sauce has a tomato base doesn't it?
Mr Poddster.. That pizza doesn't appeal to me at all..each to their own though.
I dont think tomatoes make pizza soggy if they are cut into small portions ( not sliced which I haven't seen)
Sun dried tomatoes are very tasty on pizza.
you mean there is not some farmer somewhere farming BBQ'S?
where do BBQ shapes come from then?

Sorry Amber. Popped out. I use the baby truss Roma tomatoes but they have to be a decent size. When I've tried using normal baby tomatoes they burn and the big ones don't dry properly. They taste beautiful because the flavour is concentrated.

How did this thread go from Halal Chicken Pizza to pizza recipes?
You folks are making me hungry for pizza.
We have a special Pizza Parlor and Restaurant in town, that was opened by a young italian. He was a great cook and the place was popuar. Then one day he sold it and we all thought that was the end of delicious italian meals. The new owners are from India. He wears a turban in the Restaurant and his wife a beautiful sari. The menu is still the italian one, with some indian meals added. The first time we ordered a pizza from them, we waited with anticipation what the pizza would be like. Surprise, surprise, the pizza was even better than the ones the previous, italian owner made.
Making and cooking a delicious pizza is an art and not everyone is a talented artist.

Not much mileage in that, people either object, don't mind or don't care - as in they never read food labels.

hi am3, yep the sauce would be semi-fluid in consistency which goes straight onto the pastry which doesn't effect it in the baking process
thinking about it, when re-heated in a microwave there's that sogginess taste about it, even if there are no tomato toppings
Signatures suck.

May I ask what the main ingredient in the tomato paste to which you refer, is?
