I am becoming fascinated with Perth!
Tell me everything! What are the nice areas? What's not so nice?
Is East Victoria Park a nice area? What about Mt Lawley?
How cold does it get in winter? Many people? Is it busier now?
Why have you got sandy soil over there? Is it everywhere? LOL
Pictures please 😄

I become less and less impressed by the place the more I'm forced to visit it, thank god pretty rarely now.
😮 Don't return. I'd say it's more quiet and less busy than some cities and their metro areas. One of the best things about WA is there are no poker machines.

Let's all be grateful for small mercies then.;-)
Perth has a lot going for it - great climate, fantastic beaches, beautiful river, amazing views from Kings Park. House prices have unfortunately gone through the roof in the last few years and rentals are beyond ridiculous - mainly due to the mining boom, but the bubble will have to burst eventually. However, the VERY BEST thing about Perth is that it is only one and a half hours drive (two and a half by train) from *!!! BUNBURY !!!!* Home of The Great She Elephant and gateway to the wineries of Margaret River, the surf breaks at Yallingup, and the tall timbers of the glorious south West.

Shhhhhhhhhh TGSE - don't tell everyone! Why do you think we raised the 'rabbity' after I arrived ]:)
Let it remain somewhat of a secret to those naysayers who obviously have little appreciation of the better things in life :^O
Clair - don't overlook Fremantle! We even have Bon Scott buried there in the Fremantle Cemetary :^O
By the way Clair, happy to take any pics in Fremantle Cemetary that you want or need. Flashie (of the honest dot fame) might be happy to vouch for me 😉

Correction: Bon was cremated and his memorial plaque is at the cemetery. He grew up in the Fremantle area. Some people assume he was buried. There is also a life size statue of him in Fremantle.

I hang my head in shame, Laney - but we need the tourist dollar.:^O

Joz perhaps you should take a drive out of your usual area - you might be surprised 😮
I am working on that TGSE 😉

This photograph was taken during the Olympic trials which were held off Bathers Beach, Fremantle. We are a parochial lot and were horrified that the City of Perth sign was placed there. We are FREMANTLE after all!
