Is this what the dog produces after ingesting a certain type of dog food? Because it certainly knocks out a few people around here.

The smell certainly is!

And to clarify - the phobia is more a phobia of sitting next to the dog on the couch, rather than a fear of the gas itself.....

Catholic-Phobia in Australia?

Islamophobia in Australia is a trend towards anti-Muslim prejudice in Australian society, where hostility towards Islam occurs; it is usually associated with hostile and discriminatory practices towards Muslim individuals or communities and the exclusion of Muslims in social, cultural and political affairs.

Islamophobia and racism towards Arabs and Muslims occurred prior to the September 11 attacks on the United States; racism previously directed towards other migrant groups became re-focused at Muslims.

From the late 1980s to the early 2000s, Australian racism turned from being anti-Asian to anti-Arab and anti-Muslim; this trend followed the increased immigration and settling of Arabs and Muslims in Australia.

Not liking the Muslim religion and not liking/attacking someone because they follow this or any other particular religion are two very different thing, some people just dont seem to "get" this difference.

A phobia is an irrational fear, one doesnt have to fear something in order not to like it

Atychiphobia - the fear of being wrong

"We'd like to believe that most of what we know is accurate and that if presented with facts to prove we're wrong, we would sheepishly accept the truth and change our views accordingly...that's not what happens, that we base our opinions on beliefs and when presented with contradictory facts, we adhere to our original belief even more strongly."

I used to have atychiphobia - the fear of being wrong but I went through immersion therapy. I got married. I'm cured of my fear of being wrong all the time.

Islamophobia is driven by fear.  It is an irrational and predjudiced fear of Islam. A hatred of Islam.

Not liking a person's religion (for example, Islam) and holding that against them is Islamophobia.
