Pinterest question - what does it mean when...

...someone invites you to pin on their thread?

I get heaps of these and I am ignoring them. But does it mean that when I pin on my board, it automatically appears on theirs? Or are they wanting me to actually spend my precious time pinning on theirs?

I don't really understand pinterest but I do look from time to time.

I have no idea, I was just there & re-pinned a page.......to one of my boards and all this other stuff came up, so just made sure it re pinned okay and went out of it.............hope all that makes sense.

Pinterest was really easy to use when it first started.
