Are they allowed to ask for your phone to look at what you have just texted or just been texted??

My Miss got pulled over today cause the policeman said he saw her head look down.

I would think a driver would have to show the police their mobile if they have pulled them over for  and suspected they were sending texts while driving. If the driver is innocent why not show the police the phone?.. easy to prove you weren't doing that.

How else can the police prove that the driver has or hasn't  been using their mobile while driving? When they suspect the driver has.

Yes, i'm assuming your Miss told hime she wasn't using her phone whilst driving, he wanted proof by checking her phone for the time of her last text.

Its not really, especially if it is a smart phone.. all sorts of apps are tracking what you do and where you go.
