A crowd of more than 50 people has attacked WA police and their vehicle after a man was arrested for attacking a female officer.
The man had been kicked out of the Pingelly Hotel, in Pingelly, in regional WA, at 1.10am on New Year's Day when he yelled at police officers and was arrested.
He grabbed a female officer by the hair, hitting her head against the ground, and punching her in the head.
Officers tried using a stun gun on the man but when it had no effect, they sprayed him with capsicum spray before putting him in the back of a police van.
As they did so, a crowd of 50-60 people attacked the van and officers from Brookton Police Station, who had come to help, with rocks.
The man was taken to Narrogin Police Station and will be interviewed once he has sobered up.
At least three police officers were hurt, with the female police officer taken to Narrogin Hospital.
The police van was badly dented and its windows smashed.

Do they have psychological testing? They never used to. In Qld anyway. Brawn was the test.

Qld and Fed Police do indeed have psychological testing, times have changed and it is not easy to get into the force any more.
It is a long and involved process from start to finish, but someone with sociopathic tendancies can come across as charming and intelligent, and could easily be missed in the screening process - such is the nature of the sociopath.
As to the PW involved, if reports have been made in the past against her, this is easily verified and will be taken into consideration when the matter is investigated.
Until we know more, it is going to be the usual he said, she said, interesting to see the outcome.

I was a Referee for a woman who entered the Force. Gawd, I felt as though I was being "tested" when I was phoned for a chat with one of the "examiners". But the now Constable, told me that my testimonial was the final "tick" for her to attend the Academy.

The story is not what the media and the police are claiming and the truth will come out.
Bully
Then why not say what the story is ? On here
And why not get it published ?
And the other thing, since you want the TRUTH, why not get the media to report that they were Aboriginal
In the original story or des everyone pussyfoot around the truth over there ???
Why should they report include any reference to race? Do you expect a report to specify if an anglo person is involved?
We're not in a race back to the past, to a time it was considered acceptable to divide the community according to false stereotypes. If you don't like it here you are welcome to go back to where you belong.
