Kevin Rudd trails in his own seat in shock poll finding for Labor

Exclusive: Guardian poll finds Rudd struggling to hold previously safe Queensland seat of Griffith

find this hard to believe, and Liberal strategists aren’t expecting to knock off Rudd - and yet...:

Kevin Rudd is trailing Liberal rival Bill Glasson in his apparently safe Brisbane seat of Griffith, in alarming news for Labor from the latest Guardian Lonergan poll.

Glasson, who is running an intensive local grassroots campaign, leads Rudd on a two-party preferred ... The poll’s margin of error is 4%...

Bottom line: the poll is consistent with many others suggesting Rudd’s return is unlikely to deliver the swag of Queensland seats Labor needs to survive.

And the NWNEWLIGHTNING brigade wouldn't be able to let go of him anyway. We.d be bored to tears by hysterical "Where's Kevin?' threads, just like the '
"Where's Julia?" one.

Poll: Rudd could lose his seat

They did want to hear and talk about him and even wanted him to return as our PM ...even while Julia Gillard was our PM .

People will remember Abbott with wonder, wonder as to how a poisonous bumbling fool like this even made it to opposition leader. How his bumbling gaffes made him the laughing stock of the world. How, Murdoch and his lemmings worked tirelessly to bring down Julia Gillard, and once the got rid of her, they ran like scalded cats trying to blame Rudd for their vengeful scheming hypocrisy.

  •  on the condition or supposition that; in the event that:if you have a complaint, write to the directorif you like I’ll put in a word for you
