Recounting my recent experience with Australia Post is intended to inspire members never to give up. I posted a sizeable parcel to Singapore in the middle of November, 2015. The buyer reported the non arrival in early December. Report made to local PO. You don't get a copy of the report, just a complaint number. This turns out to be irrelevant because in future dealings with Auspost you'll receive a different reference number. You have to wait 3 months from the time of posting before any claim for compensation will be considered. In the meantime I compensated the buyer and showd him photographs of the original PO transaction to prove the parcel was actually sent. Come mid February I started a one sided email conversation with Auspost re compensation...the total only being a mere $80+. No replies to my emails so started phoning. You are not dealing with that 4 million dollar man. The first call centre lady said she would advise the "back room" people and they would ring me. A deadly silence for 10 days. I rang after this time and spoke to a really dilligent and helpful lady. Before she went into the real compo details "she would just check Lost & Found". Guess what? There was my nearly 4 month old lost parcel and recorded with buyer's correct address, and mine. She wasn't keen to give me the sordid details but would post the item back to me. Guess what? It arrived next morning (non express) so I deduced that it was in the local Adelaide sorting centre all this time. It was in good nick. I'm now seeking the actual postage figure compo, and have been promised it will come in the post as a postal money order. On past performances I'm looking forward to receiving it in August. If any of you get caught up in this Keystone Cops scenario keep a running journal of all your activities and correspondence until you succeed. They hate it when you can quote the names of their colleagues and the times and dates. I'll keep you posted (no pun intended). Lee.

Next time try posting it as you used to when at school as in the post below,(typing it as a Facebook post
makes it unreadable).

What i know about Australia Post is,
that they have 'exceptional talent' in collecting 'Money', from their customers, time, and time again
Every year, they ask for more, and more, and more , and more.
Maybe they 'love the money' , more than the customer .
Could be true !
Maybe ?
😕 😕 😕
