DY: "The greens need a bit of a shake up, Bandt is a bit of a communist. I like the way Penny Wong handled him the other night on Q&A"
I agree DY, since Brown left, and Milne took over, the Greens have become somewhat shrill (that sounds familiar).
Perhaps the ALP could lend them Wong (for a short while), as I am sure she would be an asset for them. However, I would love to see Wong at the ALP helm and Turnbull steering the Libs.
Greens? who?

Why?
How does the Coalition deal with their preferences?

if abbott doesn't want people to vote for the greens thats a good reason to do just that. if i lived in the seat i'd vote for bandt.
but i dont so i vote for labor who have a 50/50 chance in this seat. we need more green members .

Abbott said he's taking the "Captain's Pick" and instructing all Libs to preference the greens last.
Then had a snigger over a Double D if faced with a recalcitrant parliament.
One of my pet hates is being told how to vote, by either side. Another is spoilt prats who refuse to accept who the people voted in.
If the people vote in a minority that's what we get.

thats right , minority government worked extremely well despite the bs. i see the coalition is running two candidates in corangamite.. a liberal and a rubber stamp (national) can labor run 2 candidates ? the farce of the LNP being 2 parties when it suits them and one in the parliament is wearing a little thin. if it were labor, Bolt and his repeater stations here would cry foul and call it cheating. national party voters have to be the least savvy of all..
