Little Crikey got her first real job.
McDonalds employs you from 14 years 3 months - 12 hours a week. $8 to $10 an hour.(I think that's pretty good, that a 14 year old gets that much an hour)
Little Crikey hit 14/3 a few days ago, and yesterday Maccas sent her a job offer.
She's soooo excited - both her brothers applied in the past and they never got an offer, so she's feeling pretty special and pleased with herself.
She had an interview last Thursday
Got the offer yesterday, now she has orientation on Friday and some training course that will teach her how to lift (I assume there is more to it than that LOL - but that's all she told me), and get uniforms fitted etc.and will get shifts (minimum 3 hours) the following week.
A really good thing is she got the job at the maccas just up the road from us - so nice and close.

Found This
What age can I start work? When can I start work?
The general minimum age for starting work is 13 years.
If you are 11 or older, you can do delivery work such as delivering newspapers and advertising leaflets. If you are aged 11 or 12, you cannot do delivery work between 6pm and 6am.
There is no minimum age for working in a family business or in the entertainment industry.
If you are under 16 and required to be enrolled at school, you need your parent’s consent to work.

OK, orientation done.
I'm impressed - her work shirt is red LOL -
They had to do an hour tutorial online when they accepted the offer
and then this arvo they were there for a bit over an hour, mainly signing forms and stuff - they watched some other video for about 20 minutes?
They get paid for all of that! Even the stuff they did at home!
She will get shifts the week after this one coming.
Her first few shifts will have more orientation stuff
That's all I know
