"Another example of the putrid stench of liberal hypocrisy is their royal commission into union corruption, whilst repealing laws that prevent financial advisors being corrupt."
Union corruption, never.

FORMER Hospital Services Union boss AND the past national president of the ALP Michael Williamson is behind bars awaiting a sentencing hearing. Williamson has agreed to owing the HSU $5 million based on his fraudulent dealings.
Craig Thomson, a former national secretary of the Hospital Services Union is now awaiting sentence after being convicted of fraud.

PS
JMK, to repeal a law it needs parliamentary approval (both houses), and the FOFA amendments (which I disagree with) have nothing to do with financial advisers being corrupt (try vested interest). Anyway, as far as I can see the unions currently have the running where corruption and convictions are concerned!

"This thread is about the putrid stench of liberal hypocrisy, mm"
OK, so present the moral high ground that the Libs are proclaiming, compared with???
This is actually another political pink feel-good hand-holding thread , so I do not feel constrained to a narrow term of reference that would exclude mention of the current pink stars of corruption, fraud, and trade union officialdom: Thomson & Williamson.
"banning union corruption whilst enabling financial advisor corruption." The former is worthy of a chuckle, and of course long overdue action, and the latter as I have mentioned before is incorrect (deliberate or intentional wrongdoing), but show me the proposed changes to the FOFA that constitute "enabling financial advisor corruption."

However JMK I do agree with your statement : "IMO no corruption, in any organisation, is acceptable."

I like to believe some of them have morals and concern for this Country and all of it's people (as our PM has expressed he does...and of course as our Prime Minister should)
not just greed as their motivator
Wanting to cut taxes big business pay...is the worse form of 'sense of entitlement'
"We swear by the Southern Cross to stand truly by each other and fight to defend our rights and liberties"
history can repeat itself

worse kind of 'sense of entitlement'
and such putrid hypocrisy
March on March , 100 000+ Australians may just be the beginning of history repeating itself .

Tony Abbott sidesteps questions on whether Bill Heffernan warned him about Arthur Sinodinos' work with Australian Water Holdings
Tony Abbott has refused to say whether he was warned about Arthur Sinodinos' dealings with a company linked to crooked former powerbroker Eddie Obeid before Senator Sinodinos was appointed to the Abbott ministry.
The Prime Minister was asked repeatedly during question time on Monday whether he was warned by NSW Senator Bill Heffernan about Senator Sinodinos' work for Australian Water Holdings prior to him joining Parliament. But Mr Abbott avoided the question four times.
