"Mr Nicholls had just started addressing a forum in Townsville about infrastructure projects, when the anti-Adani protesters ran onto the stage, shouting at the crowd."

i watched the video, they didnt 'run' onto the stage, and they left quietly once asked from what i could see.

I am not surprised after reading ----

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-22/china-will-finance-adani-mine-insiders-say/9177470

How much and how often have Australian Governments sold out Australian land and Governement owned corporations to foreign conglomorations, just for a quick buck that they then wasted without any benefit to the Australian people?

All that money going overseas and only a token bit of tax paid to Australia and even job losses for Australian workers because those foreign investors want the contracts for any material or euipment from their own country.

I detest stupid politicians.

this adani mine business is begining to feel like coruption.

ive seen and heard enough to believe its a white elephant of a project.

more negatives than positives.

much like when it was anounced that japan would build our new subs, like a deal had been done and now the politicians are trying to disguise a lemon as a diamond.

oh look, big sub contract, there will be jobs aplenty for aussies....cept then it was revealed the subs would be built in japan, not australia and all thos jobs dissapeared.

now its

oh look, huge coal mine, there will be jobs aplenty for aussies....cept now we are discovering they will bring their own workers in, not hire aussies.

so we get to shell out large amounts of money to 'facilitate' a company who are in it for india not us!

Queensland election result likely to remain unknown for days

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-26/queensland-election-results-to-remain-in-balance-for-some-time...

seems the country likes to keep the media guessing as to who will win an election, its happening almost every time now.

maybe we are just a very divided people?

i truly fear for the ground water system when you let companys with dubious history re the enviroment in to dig up our natural wealth.

greed allways trumps doing the right thing.

look at the great barrier reef.

look at the murray darling system.

once these huge things get stuffed up theres no fixing them, they are gone.

forever
