But its ok, Queensland Police Commissioner Ian Stewart says they are being "closely monitored"
“We have to take peoples’ rights into consideration, but there are those people who because of the risk they pose to other members of our community do deserve to be watched over,” he said. Screw their rights
It’s understood 12 Queenslanders are among 70 Australians fighting in Syria and Iraq, with at least six “accidental terrorists’ telling family and friends they wanted to come home after being “duped’’ into fighting for extremist groups including ISIS. duped... Yeh right
Some of them have gone into hiding in Syria, fearing that if they do come back to Australia they would be detained under tough new counter-terrorism laws that could see them jailed for up to 25 years. And so they should be imo
Mr Stewart said there was no doubt the foreign fighters returning home would suffer “psychological scars”. Ohh boo hoo. The poor diddums
Im sorry but after the Lindt Cafe siege, i dont have confidence in the terror watch program

The Australian Government should emply a few contractors. That would solved the issue of them coming back !
The longer they stay over there, the less likely they will come back to Aus !

What terror watch program.
They seem to be able to come & go with impunity.
Someone has nodded off.

exactly.
Im curious how much money it is costing to "watch" these people?
Are they working or claiming benefits due to suffering “psychological scars"?
Seriously?? He is comparing them to our troops??
Mr Stewart said there was no doubt the foreign fighters returning home would suffer “psychological scars”.
“Take the example of our own soldiers who go overseas, and when they return often it’s many years before the impact of those experiences come to the fore through mental illness and episodes that they have,” he said.

You know - sometimes I think this 'humane' business has gone a tad too far.
Humane treatment for people that rape, torture & kill.
Humane treatment for those that knowingly put themselves & their families ar risk hoping someone else will do the saving.
Humane treatment for those that go OS to fight these outrageous religious 'battles' - get hurt - need help .
Humane treatment for those that get thoroughly drunk - do not take responsibility for their actions - literally knocking someone down with a single punch.
What else.
What happened to HUMAN.

What happened to HUMAN.
The left hid it when they highlighted the "RIGHT".
HUMAN is in the same place the left put "RESPONSIBILTY"
IF someone went after these people and dropped them, their families would be the first to say their Human rights
have been violated, even though they are legitimate targets.
