Jim Rockford.
Handsome...with a dry sense of humour. So many great movie roles, too.

This makes me very sad. i met him when I was a kid, and instantly had a lifelong crush on him. He is older than my dad, but that didn't matter. I thought he was the nicest man I had ever met.
RIP

Particularly sad for me. When I was about 10, I announced that I was going to marry him when I grew up. Maverick tall, dark and handsome with humour.
I continued the "romance" through the Rockford Files, then was moved once more with the movie Murphy's Romance.
Notebook. Stunning movie and story line.
RIP Jim.

lloydslights I had a crush on him as a kid also. I used to get up past my bedtime and sneak down the hallway to watch the Rockford Files, which my mom would always be watching. She always knew I was there and after a few mild admonishments would let me sit down and watch it with her.
Love Murphy's Romance. I always had the feeling he was as much a gentleman in real life as he portayed in his movies.
So sad to hear of his passing.
