Restaurants should be CHEF trained before opening

I took the wife out tonight to Carlton and was disgusted at the meals we were served. The pizza dough was flavourless and hard, the sauce was out of a can and the cannelloni microwaved semi-cold. Again no flavour. The biggest rubbish we've ever had. We had a few mouthfuls but yuck... We paid and left. I told the waitress she should eat the rest!

On the way home we went to McDonalds drive-thru and got 2 fillet-o-fish meals which was at least 200% better than the pizza restaurant.

I can't believe people are opening up restaurants and serving microwaved rubbish to customers they should be ashamed of themselves. How hard is it to make some pizza and pasta the proper old fashioned way?  We will not be fooled again.

There should be a hall of shame for what happened tonight.

Very disappointing! Has this happened to you?

Almost every birthday.

It is now so ingrained as inevitable, I refuse dinner out on my birthday.

much nicer at home, where one knows the meal will be cooked appropriately (by me ๐Ÿ™‚ ), rather than run the risk of having someone who cares enough to take you out for a special dinner, spending a lot of money on something inedible.

I don't blame you for cooking yourself. We do too but just felt like going out tonight.

That's a shame UFO, Carlton is supposed to be the heart of good Italian food. There is a nice Indian restaurant we go to in Lygon Street sometimes, but we haven't been there for awhile.

these people don't actually last to long in business. Best resort these days is social media. Im a big fan of eatability.com.au lets you review the restaurant according to comments left by others. Just like our feedback system is some kind of way!

I wont say which restaurant it was here in case I get in trouble but I can tell you it was in Rathdowne Street.  You will probably work it out. It is a big chain. LOL.
