they tried to put a bit of life back in to that cage. I don't know how successful they were. The coppers seemed to like going there, probably because the rest of the population went to the clubs. But it's a bit tricky finding your way in if you don't know the trick to the gate in the laneway.

was that the bloke with the funny shaped eyes, and great danes? If so he sold out. Can't think who has it now. Did you know any of the Walgett Quoits Club? They hang out at that pub. Some of them are rellies. Funny buggers. Their quoits set were witches hats and hoola hoops

Yes they held their meetings there, but never played quoits....mostly they drank lol
The weird looking guy was the bar tender and his mum the cleaner...they looked after the pub for the owner. The owner was run out of goodooga and some outback qld town lol. I was the only one staying there, so when theyd go home at night they'd lock the big fence with me locked inside.,,with only the scary pig dogs to protect me. No way out!
They would have NEEDED hula hoops to get a score after a 'few' drinks I bet lol

ROFL, oh I know who you mean. Oops sorry, Good morning folks,
The bartender was Yowie. and him mum the cleaner.
The coits club was established so they could play in various competitions against the Glengarry hmmmm it was either the Glengarry Water Polo club or the synchronised diving club. Something like that. Of course there isn't a swimming pool within cooee of Glengarry. (maybe it was horse type pole, they don't have any horses either)
You just have to make your own fun in these places. ![]()

It does sound like fun to live in a country town. I imagine they have boat races when there is not a drop of water in sight too.
