You got me thinking about red chilli jam Flashie and wondered whether green chillis would work as well.
Found this recipe you might be interested in - if you choose to go down the chilli jam path

Good morning Stringsters
Flashie, your sense of humour never ceases to amaze me!
If someone gave me a bag of chillies I would be taking them to work to give away. We don't use them much anymore .... old age has a way of telling you "Don't eat chillies".
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Stringers
Prim - our Flashie is always guaranteed to put smiles on faces of many
They are addictive - chillis that is - and chilli jam has to be one of the more recent creations to satisfy that addiction for me lol
I would rather someone else cut them up though lol
Deb - one more exam today I think? Then time for celebration and relaxation for a while. Good luck to her
I am a gym/swim free zone today as I have a heap of other things which need to be attended to.

Hi Laney, she just called me and she's on her way home now. She's looking forward to a sleep when she gets here,
Today I am doing something I'd been putting off for a week, it's the invitations for one of those big functions I'm organizing. The first lot went out a couple of weeks ago, I needed a break from it lol
on โ07-11-2013 11:45 AM
I'd better go and get them posted now

Oh great Deb
All those invitations!!!
...and then all the Christmas cards too - your timing is flawed lol lol lol
More power to you though lol
Have a good and productive day

Thanks for that recipe Laney.............I will give it a go.
Not sure where to get raw cane sugar though.............is there something I could substitute if for.
Last night this silly computer froze.............so I had to turn it off and then on again.............no mean feat either...............as that involved getting down on my hands and knees and touching two wired together.
And I felt this sting...................and when I looked I thought I saw a big black spider.............(well my reaction says I DID see a big black spider..................but we wont go there............that was a tad embarrassing)
I go out to hubby and told him that I had been bitten.............very calmly............(that is my version and I am sticking to it..................hubby does not do ebay so you will not hear the true his version)
He grabs a jar to put in it the vicious huge huge spider that attacked me............(truely.....it was huge)
And comes out to show me.......( by now I am sure I will have to have my finger amputated..............I could feel the poison ..................truley.........)
I had leant on a bee..............................Oopsie........

Flashie hi!
I have always considered raw cane sugar just to be less processed white sugar - it is readily available in the supermarket or I have some here in my cupboard if you want it lol
Down on the floor ...... touching two wires together ........ *horror emoticon*
So lucky it was NOT a bite from the two wires ....... that does not bear thinking about!
Did you manage to get the bee sting out?
What the heck was a bee doing there anyway? I am guessing you did not hang around long enough to enquire lol
You and your open windows!!!!

I like open windows and doors too - don't get me wrong.
Remember I was looking for one of those ghastly door curtains to stop the birds flying in?
Well ........ I got one (pretty ghastly though) and went to put it up and cheap eyelets at the top pulled out of the equally cheap wooden top grrrrrrrr. It hung over the back of one of our dining room chairs for days lol.
In my sorta spring clean, I found my collection of wooden cotton reels (and my collection of antique keys) so have created a far more interesting 'door curtain' with the cotton reels and some quality wooden beads. It works too - only hope it does not knock the birds out as they try to get in!!
