Yes it is quiet on the boards, too quiet
That reminds me of a game Lylat wars that the boys used to play on the old Nintendo many years ago. Peppy said, It's quiet.... too quiet.
Then Slippy say's further along the battle, " You wanna peace of me?".
That used to crack me up when my younger son played the game. He always said, You want a pizza mate?

@ Mrs Fizzhead. That's just hilarious.
Nite Deb. An early one for me too. I'm a bit exhausted as we've been moving furniture around and rearranging for a big part of the day.
Then I finally started planting the agapanthus out the front. Lucky it was our day for reticulation.

Good morning Stringsters
Good morning Deb.
Joono, the reply of the Olympic games opening ceremony was on tV last night, we watched it, maybe others were too?
For me, depending on the topic of the thread and because there are so few posters, I almost know exactly what each poster will write and the stance they will take, before they touch the keyboard. = boring.
And why would any newbies post when they can see the dictatorial type posts of some posters here. It only takes one in a thread to scare off any new posters who come here for a look-in, and there usually is.
Also, at any given time of day the first few threads will be political, so it is understandable that a new visitor would just think this was a politics forum and back out. No posters : few threads and posts.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning everyone. Sunday breakfast must be delayed. No one else wants to get out of bed today it seems.
I have to do a bit more furniture arranging and get rid of a low boy cupboard. It was the only piece of furniture that I thought might get in the way of Fishbaits trek to her food bowl in the laundry... and it did. She went straight into it this morning and I think she probably has a headache, so now I know. She really is totally blind, poor thing.

Good morning Early bird Stringers ![]()
Paid for an extension on the vet's garden shed yesterday
Only joking! Four lots of medication for LL - hoping they will do the trick.
Recovered from the week and the 3am night so didn't get back yesterday ..... or did I? Can't remember now but I know I still have to catch up ![]()
Today is definitely going to be a 'do nothing' day.
Have been enjoying the Sochi Games Prim - did not find the opening ceremony very inspiring but have been impressed with the facilities which have been built. Some of the events are real 'heart in mouth' stuff aren't they?

I forgot to say Prim. Sometimes I just feel like I am not smart enough for some threads so I just don't bother. It would be off putting to lurkers and newbies.

Not to mention the ambulance chasers/armchair detectives/doom and gloomers/know-alls! Some seem to thrive on bad news and gossip all of which adds to the sense of ennui pervading the boards generally.
