Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Afternoon Stringers ๐Ÿ™‚

Have to admit I had a really lazy day today lol

The winter olympics have been taking their toll on me and in preparation for two days back at the more formal grindstone, I decided to take the opportunity of a quiet home to have a rest.  The Freo Doctor woke me as it wove its magic through our windows ..... blissful.

Hey Iza - glad you had a good break ....... good to see you back

Round Table Revisited

Hi Laney Smiley Happy

I did lots of catching up with friends I hadn't seen in over 12 years .I wasn't in WA very long and did very little other than talk, eat, slept on the beach,4 wheel driving ,digging sand out from under a 4x4 when they who never get bogged did just that (in a very big way) on the beach with the tide coming in LOL.I would love to go back some time and hire my own car to see more of your State.

I was advised to have a drink in the hours I had to wait at the Melbourne airport 'to help me relax'.I'm pretty much a non-drinker but took the advice anyway thinking it may help me relax and sleep on the plane.I ordered my pasta and a gin squash ....the girl who served me was new and just poured the gin in my glass ...then along came her boss who thought she hadn't started yet said "use this' and showed her how to get the correct measure using the shot glass....he then added that to my already strong drink .That one drink had my head flying before the plane took off LOL.Probably not a bad thing as the flight was extremely rough with the cabin crew ordered to be seated often. Then we over Perth airport to be told there was traffic issues and we needed to wait 45mins to land.At that stage I was wondering if I was being given a message that I wasn't supposed to have a holiday .I did though and enjoyed my time away Woman Happy

Frequent traffic issues over Perth airport Iza - FIFO has a huge impact on the air traffic.

One of our friends used to be an air traffic controller there - he keeps saying how glad he is that he has now retired lol

I was just having a browse around the boards and was reminded of a saying by Disraeli ........'mediocrity can talk but it is for genius to observe'.

Glad we are largely 'observers' lol13_a.gif

I can believe that Laney. On the flight home someone spilt something on the run way and delayed take off by 30mins...much smoother flight though .It was transport without the carnival ride I had on the flight in.

I'll have a read around

Mediocrity perfectly describes it, Laney.

Hi Stringers ๐Ÿ™‚ good morning and good night X 30 lmao

And in other news, I mowed my mutant tomatoes...they were sprawled over my lawn (these are the ones that have been alive for three years) and you wouldn't believe it....they're sprouting new leaves near the mower cuts.

I have a major tomato issue...hundreds of the things...and now I have Flashie's zucchini problem too lol. Tonight a nieighbour and I swapped a bag of veggie for some chillies.

That's the end of my veggie news, I'll save the lettuce story for another day ๐Ÿ˜„

It's really late and I haven't thought of dinner....what's for dinner? (at my house).

Well hello Karen!  You are late.  You must have been enjoying it ๐Ÿ˜„

Darn it, I will catch up soon but I have to go and get dinner ready.  Great to have you and Iza back.  Iza, I don't like flying and don't now but I remember flying back from England years ago and thinking we weren't going to make it as we approached Perth.  It was so rough!

The turbulence can be really bad.
