A very happy 1st of January to you all. It is a beautiful day.
Flashie, you must be so sad. I know that it kind of defeats the purpose of your resolution but perhaps midway through the year? I suppose your brother had his own family too and your dad's wife has grandchildren.
I don't know what I would do in your situation.
Thanks for the card Laney. Chudleigh is the first footer! I learnt about that tradition from my mother-in-law who is Scottish.

the person who was supposed to be fliming and taking photos last night messed up. He has one second of video and that's it lol, no photos or anything
think I'll give that job to someone else next year. Luckily my friend took a good video so if she can figure put how to transfer it all, I'll get a copy of hers sometime
not happy with you know who... he's gone back to bed in disgrace
he sure did have a good time last night though, lol the life of the party

Good morning and Happy New Year Friends
Glad you all enjoyed the card - reminded me of j*oono's household at the moment. I did not realise I could post a link to it on here until I saw someone do likewise - slightly impersonal - but it overcame the lack of some email addies for friends on here Wishes were genuine though lol

Nics - lovely news and you know what absence does .... just think how good it is going to be when the traveller returns. By the way a pinch and a punch to you too (I can still do it cos it is not midday here yet .... so there lol)
Flashie - so sad, particularly when you do so much for others in the genealogical stakes. A good but very painful lesson learned though. Never let a chance go by - to make contact, to tell those you love you love them, you know - all of that stuff.
Deb - sounds like you had a whale of a time and it looks like it too as I just saw your pics and the amazing colours. Hope OH is not in the dog house too long though

Happy New Year to our special MIA friends
Sure is a magic day j*oono - I was up early and, as I had run out of cigs, had to go up to the supermarket. Absolutely noone there so decided to do a bit of shopping - no queues - no waiting ..... the sort of shopping I can deal with lol
....waiting for Prim to check in now!
on 01-01-2015 02:05 PM
Are the shops open today? I thought everywhere would be shut. I wonder if Bunnings is open.
on 01-01-2015 02:08 PM
Bunnings certainly is j*oono - was open at 7am and closes at 7pm according to their website.
Woolies is too but no idea about other places
on 01-01-2015 02:11 PM
That seems to be the way things are now. Trading all year round.
I suppose Bunnings will be busy but I might have a visit anyway.

Good luck!

Having just had a quick read around the traps it is obvious that some have overdosed on nasty pills for the New Year ..... or does it just come naturally to them?
Seems to be the latter.
I wonder, at least momentarily, what is lacking in their lives. Frustration in real life either personally or professionally? Perhaps both.
That moment is over now - have more enjoyable things to do.
Enjoy your days friends
