Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Just a quick hello - heading out for morning coffee but saw your question j*oono

IMO you did the correct thing j*oono - last job (most recent) comes first and subsequent jobs follow sequentially right down to the first one

Got to fly - catch up later

Whose crazy idea was it to go through all the "JUNK" I have kept of the childrens over the years.

I decided the girls are old enough to decide if they want to keep some of their childhood stuff.

Now that I have it all down from the manhole I am not sure it was a good idea.

Hubby is saying he does not think it was a good idea to keep all the childrens birthday cards and christmas cards................but I disagree............I am sentimental over things like that.

I found a pair of jeans I painted the Sydney Swans logo on for him............and another pair he made me paint the South Park characters.

I also found our youngest daughters first party dress............and the black pants suit she wore to her grade 6 leavers dinner.

I kept some things like the christening dress and christening suit..............but I am giving the others their choice of what they want.

I have kept a book from each child for each year they were in Primary School.........all their reports......all their certificates from school and sports..................all their badges from Scouts and St John's and Sunbeams.

Gee, maybe I am just a hoarder....................................nah.........Cat LOL

Flashie, I have stuff in my cupboard and I have thought for so long that I need to pass it on for them to keep or not.

Some of it I will pass on to them when they have children if they do.  I have mountains of school files that I should have got rid of years ago but I never got around to it.

I can't ever get rid of the alphabet scrap book that the preschool teacher gave me a sticker for. They do know when mum does the homework.

OMG I have kept heaps, I have cupboards full of of artwork and essays, birthday cards things they gave me, going right back. They take up so much room, every time I think I should throw some out, I start looking at them and  I just can't do it lol

Well I asked the boys what they wanted me to keep and was quite surprised.............their list was longer than the girls.

The only thing they parted with was some of their old football jackets.............and even then that was only if their niece and nephew wanted them.

The girls I gave no choice to.............I packed their stuff into a container each and delivered it to them.

Then I remembered I had a pillow case full of cards in the top of the hall cupboard.

That can wait for another day.

Our daughter and her family are off to Victoria for a few days.

And she was packing getting ready today.

Our youngest grand daughter has this duck pillow pet she wont sleep without.............and do you think we could find it today.

We asked her did she know where she put it...............and she kept saying she had put it in the wash.

Well we looked...........and it was not there.

So we asked her again...................she said she put it in the wash.

So we kept on looking.............and you know what it is like................the longer you look the more stupid the places are you look.

Our daughter was getting a bit frantic by now.............she was imagining having an upset three year old a long way from home and no duck pillow pet.

We ask our grand daughter again......................"Do you know where "Duckie" is?"

"In the wash"............she says.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........I remember seeing her playing in her Dollies Corner.

"Whose wash sweetheart"...........I asked............."Mummy's wash.............or your wash?"

"My wash".............she says.

BINGO!!!!!......................there was Duckie................in our grand daughters wooden washing machine.

Crisis averted.................Cat Tongue

That's gorgeous Flashie. I can just imagine how frantic you all were.  I can see your family when you talk about them.

A hectic couple of days are behind me now and it is such a beautiful morning here that I am heading out to try and take a few street art pics.  An embarrassment of riches in Freo!

Will combine that with a walk along the river - it is positively sparkling this morning.

Have a good day all
