Round Table Revisited

Hi everyone.  Struggling with my internet for the last couple of days and trying to rely on my mobile as a hotspot but I only get 200mb on that before the charges hit.

 

Stupid Telstra is the most useless flipping useless company in Australia.  We've had dodgy broadband connection for ages because their landline is unstable and crackling.  Now our landline is dead completely.  I can't phone them unless I use my mobile and that's not going to happen because the waiting times are about 40 minutes so I've reported it online and I don't know whether that disappears into cyber space.

 

Meanwhile, ex is back for a week or so and went and got me a prepaid USB device so I'm using that now until I can get stupid useless Telstra to fix our line. I wonder how long only 1gig will last ๐Ÿ˜„

I do feel for you J*oono I couldn`t imagine been without my ph or have a dodgy broadband connection..not sure how long 1 gig would last for..modern tech doesn`t go well with me!!lol

Telstra is absolutely shocking to deal with or communicate with when you have a problem. I wonder how Prim got on with hers? I forgot to ask

 

 

Nic I'm still thinking about it, the timing isn't great for me right now, but maybe in a couple of months.  People say it's really good there but I haven't been to it so far

Good morning Stringsters

 

I had more computer problems this morning. My keyboard driver would not talk to my computer so no typing input ability until now. It seems intermittent but probably something on the way out, grrrr.

 

Good luck with Telstra, I never had any, and the stress caused during our many, many telephone interactoins nearly killed me. And I am not exaggerating.

 

We finally got someone to come out and it got fixed, then last night our suburb had a total blackout, a previous blackout event started all these problems, so we are expecting more problems in the next few days.

I was using a wireless keyboard a while ago, I didn't like it because it was too unreliable so have gone back to the older one

I get an occasional driver message and no other keyboards work when this one won't work so it is the driver. I just have to have patience to sort out how to download another. I will get there ๐Ÿ™‚

Morning everyone.  I really feel for you Prim but at the same time I'm wondering whether to speak to the isp again today or spend hours on hold waiting for Telstra on a very crackly line. The phone is working again (sort of) but our internet is not.

 

I think this is going to be a case of them blaming each other but I have a solution.  If I switch our phone account over to iinet then they will have to deal with Telstra and not me.  Sounds like a plan.
