Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Hi Deb, All ideas we had of how to spend the day have been changed because of the heat. I guess we would not be so affected if things had just gradually warmed up but to go from freezing to baking within a day has taken the wind out of our sails.

I have taped Hyde Park on Hudson and I think I will watch that after lunch. Apart from that no other plans as yet.

Are you getting this heat in Melbourne?

Prim we had such a cold winter this year and now it 's looking like a hot summer-  I don't mind the early to mid thirties at all.   it's the days of 40 and over that I struggle with

we are lucky enough to still have Soho and i was able to watch the 2nd episide of " a place called home" last night- really enjoyed it

Good morning Stringers Smiley Happy

Guess it is definitely 'afternoon' for you t'othersiders though!  I hope you are enjoying your long weekend Monday - whatever mischief you are up to.

Not much on the agenda here this morning.  We had some lovely rain through the night and a forecast high of 20 here today but it already feels like that and it is only 9.30.  Gosh, when I look at your forecast temps you really have been hit hard with the heat Smiley Surprised

Have an afternoon appointment with the opthalmic surgeon.   Trying to get work done beforehand as I am not sure how long it will take for the effects to wear off.

I am saving the series of 'home' to watch at the one sitting so I have my fingers crossed that fox does not break down, again, until I have watched it. We have had a problem with fox not working 5 times so far this year and each time, I lost all my saved shows.

I won't begin to describe the incompetence of their service but suffice to say, after I stood next to the last attending repairman and suggested the almost non existent seal around the underground box containing the phone lines might need replacing and could he please reseal it as the failures always happened after rain. So he re-sealed it and we have not had a problem since. You would think one of the 4 service men who previously came to fix our problem would have thought to check the seal as each and every time they came we said the problem started after rain, derrrr.

Deb, I don't put my winter gear away until December. Every year we get a heatwave for a few days around October and then it goes back to cold again. Last year, early December, i was wondering if I would need a jumper for Christmas Day.
