We did look after a very old Border Collie for nearly a year a few years ago who had been abused and abandoned. She was beautiful and came right back to what a Collie should be after a few weeks. We called her Rainbow.
With the help of friends, we found her a home on a 50 acre farm with a Mum, Dad and two children under 12 years old who were thrilled to have her. She lived another 6 years and had a wonderful time as the children grew up. At last, she had a forever home filled with laughter, fun, games, swimming in the little dam, good food and most importantly, much love, as she did with us. I'll never forget her.

CC we also feel bad about Bambi because we got quite attached to her as well. We fed her for a year but she hated being indoors and still wouldn't let anyone touch her. Sometimes you just have no choice because living as a stray/ feral is a rotten life for them too, always looking over their shoulder and trying to feed one litter of kittens after another.
At the time I felt a bitter overwhelmed by all the kittens
freddie, that kitten is too cute, we have to acclimatise it to humans so we can save it. The mum, I think there is something wrong with her, but we'll see how we go.

Morning.............
We are off to the Bushy Park Show today...................hubby is packing lunch....(goodness know what that will be...........but at least it is not me doing it for a change)
I love the rural shows................especially the wood chopping.
Deb..........I applaud your effort and concern for the cat/kitten.............a lot would not bother...........I hope you get to tame them enough that they get a chance for a forever home.

Good morning, just dropping in for a moment to deliver a late morning tea/brunch for you all ... can't stay though, the house is full of classical musicians and they'll soon discover I'm missing.
Help yourselves, no pushing or shoving please, the plates, cake forks and napkins are all in the kitchen in the cupboard on the right, just near the oven!

thanks CC- me too
they disappeared for a few days once before and I was both worried and relieved at the same time- I think they have another hide-out somewhere. I did hope that that someone owned them
a busy day ahead for you by the sounds of it Tas
