Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Pincushion reporting in ........... because of my work with seniors, I felt obliged to get flu and pneumonia shots ...... just hoping I do not get any reaction to them.  In the scheme of things and in comparison to what some on/off the boards are suffering it is nothing to complain about.

I am under doctor's orders to get back in the pool to relieve problems with my knee.  Having observed your experiences with your knee Freddie, I will do ANYTHING to avoid going under the knife to overcome ongoing problems as a result of my fall more than 12 months ago now.  Cruel doctor waited until now to consign me to the winter waters Smiley LOL

Sad day in Margaret River today - farewelling the family ...... thoughts go out to remaining family and friends.

So much sadness in the world generally ....... sometimes it feels like we are in a handbasket to hell Smiley Sad

~~~~~Warm Stringer waves to Friends (MIA or not) and a special hug for Sandy and Frank~~~~~
Laney - TKR is to be avoided at ALL costs as far as
i'm concerned Woman LOL but I do hydro with older and
less fit people than myself and most have good results -
i'm convinced it all comes down to your Doctor and how
much damage has been done to the bone prior to
the replacement. The Specialist I chose simply because he
done an arthroscopy on the same knee 25yrs previously.
Many eye's rolled when I said at hydro who operated on me.
If it ever comes to you requiring a replacement do your homework.
Afternoon Freddie Smiley Happy
I will be avoiding TKR (should it ever get to that stage) at all costs but thanks for the advice regarding the need to do my homework.
Hope you get to have whatever you need to be done before your holidays.  The thought of a cortisone injection fills me with dread though, having had one many, many years ago for RSI in my hand.  I passed out on the surgery floor ..... such is the wimp I am.
We have had some wonderfully colourful BOM pics yesterday and today (I am sure friends enjoyed following the storms ;-)) ..... some lovely rain, rolling thunder and a bit of lightning which resulted in some residents going off the air .... not here though, thankfully.
Heart for you and Frank Sandy.  Does not make it any easier to bear but it is not unusual to experience two steps forward and one step back after such huge and invasive surgery.  Being away from family support network makes it even more difficult for you Sandy ......... please take care of yourself too as you are so important to Frank's recovery Heart
Look after your knees girls. i wish my Dad had done something years ago, now it's too late and he's stuck with pain.
Wishing Sandy's hubby a fast recovery here.. Have been there to some extent, so I know how stressful it all is
looking forward to watching the Tigers play tonight, our nights are cold here atm.. So happy just to stay indoors
Thanks Laney and Deb.  All good now.  A couple of hiccups but he's settled down now and back to his cheeky self.
I'm going home tomorrow - Frank on Tuesday.  I was to go the day before him (Monday) but Veteran Affairs have made all the bookings and I will be pleased to be around family instead of locked up in my room on my own of a night. I would have refused if he wasn't so good.
Good luck to your footy teams.  I'm not an avid follower but Frank follows the Bombers and I sort of follow along.  My great grandfather started North so I should follow them.
