Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Good afternoon friends Smiley Happy

A win with grace (India) and a loss with dignity (Australia) ....... an apt description of the first test between India and Australia.  A pleasure to listen to!

That description of the red sky sounded amazing Deb and Kopes - any photographs?

Lunch with friends at their place NOR tomorrow - a bit of cooking tonight but easy things so no stress.

Sad hearing about the loss of life in accidents the past few days - it is so fleeting isn't it and puts a great deal into perspective.

Coming back from Albany this past week - on two lane roads of dubious surface (through Porongorup in particular) I could not understand how a speed limit of 110 could be justified.  So many country road accidents - perhaps it is time for those speeds to be reduced!

Might have to start agitating for change.

Good morning Friends Smiley Happy

Cooking done, passport and visa checked and in order, vaccinations up to date, GPS programmed to get us there .........

Venturing NOR (North of the River) is a rare event, only undertaken infrequently when impossible to avoid Smiley LOL

Have a great day folks - send out a search party if we are not back in a reasonable time this week

NORTH OF THE RIVER!!! Ooh you are brave, Laney. We'll look forward to hearing of your hairraising adentures when you get back.

I'm feeling rather proud of myself at the moment. I made a big English pork pie to take to a Christmas gathering with my siblings and partners last Saturday. Everyone raved over it and since they are all Poms and therefore connoisseurs of the pork pie,  I felt pretty chuffed. And, if I do say it myself, it really was rather moreish. I'm going to make another one for our family Christmas at DDs  place  on 23rd.

you can't get much more English than pork pie She-ele... I must have a look at the news to see if Theresa May survived the night  I hope she did. All the other Brexiters ran away after they won and she's put in the hard yards

We got sidetracked!

Heaven forbid that you thought we had decided to STAY north of the River Smiley LOL

Spoiler
Perhaps only something sandgropers would be familiar with - that NOR, SOR rivalry - although it certainly occurred in Sydney too.  There is NO dispute, however, SOR here is certainly the best!

Being cricket tragics we got sidetracked with the Australia/India test match being played here in the new Perth Stadium.  It was exciting and not without dispute but the result was great.

39 forecast tomorrow - what a lead up to Christmas Smiley Mad

Have been keeping an eye on the storms in Sydney and reading about the destruction.  I seem to remember that Hornsby suffered a similar fate back then also but I might be mistaken about that.  Cars looking like they suffered from a bad attack of small pox - 'panel beaters' delight'. They are never the same after that though.

Hope you are all ready for the festive season - will try and get back before but if not, sincere wishes to good friends on this thread and to others who know who they are also ~~~~~~ Heart

Have a smashing good time Smiley WinkSmiley LOLSmiley Wink

Freshly cooked Exmouth prawns, red rock lobster, fresh bread rolls, fleshy red cherries, apricots, nectarines (yellow and white), black plums, fresh figs, mangos and watermelon ......... it does not get much better than this .......... except sharing with friends which we will be later in the day.

It is another hottie today so indoors is the place to be in airconditioned comfort listening to the cricket in Adelaide Smiley Happy

Nothing more to do before Christmas - it is a good feeling.  Hope you are all prepared and looking forward to a lovely Christmas with your friends and family.

More bad news from around the world - apart from feeling for those so badly affected - so thankful to be living here in this wonderful country.  I hope you are too Heart

Spoiler
The Australian Open will be on soon too - loving the summer season sports
