I feel sorry for you, Flashie! I hope you have aircon?
i personally love 40+ days... When it's a dry heat. I love those 45 degree days when you can feel your eyeballs burning and the washing is dry by the time you've finished hanging it out. I find it much easier to get cool on a scorching hot day, than to warm up in winter. I have 3 doonas, a blanket and a hot water bottle in winter, and still shiver lol

Geez, Flashie - that must be almost a record for Tasmania. I do feel for you.

I hope you're OK Flashie,
I'm hearing there are some pretty bad bushfires in Tassie right now

Deb.............We were going to go and visit a cemetery today......my great great grandfather is 200 today................we decided last night not to go incase of fire.
Looks like it was a wise decision....................we were going to go to The Upper Derwent Valley.

ah there you are. I'm glad you decided to stay home Hope the guinea pigs are OK. Do you bring them indoors when it's this hot??

Are you surviving, Flashie?
Deb, that asteroid looks a bit worrying... I wonder if it'll have any strengthening effect on full moon behaviours? It might spike a blue moon tantie ๐ ๐

They are under our gazebo...........which it weather protected.
So we have not brought them inside.
We have been checking them hourly...........and drapping a wet sheet over the front of them.
I have been giving them watermelon too.
Our boys got tickets to a cricket game here............I am so glad it is tomorrow night and not tonight.

It is interesting though isn't it?

the wet sheets sound like a good idea Flashie. We have all animals indoors today and they're not too happy about it. They're standing up & trying to look out the windows all around the house ๐
