Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Good Morning......................(just)

Boy have I been busy...................yesterday we went to my nieces school fair................it is a big school.

They had their fete.

Months and months of planning...................and it rained and rained and rained yesterday.

SO they had to move as much as they could inside the gym.

Our grandson was quite taken with the mechanical bull..............he loved watching it..............but would not have a go...............I don;t think he was old enough anyway.

And then he found the Gee Whizzer...............and wanted to go on it...............but according to him his mother and I were not "man enoug" to go on it..........................so it was him and Poppy.

I wish I had taken my camera..................but I left it at home because I know schools are careful about pictures being taken.

I got some good books for the granchildren really cheap...................Roald Dahl ones................and Morris Gleitzmen......and a couple of Captain Underpants books.

I am now about to convince hubby that we need to go Spotlight............wish me luck.

I love school fetes, so much excitement and yummy home made jams. I got rosella jam from the last fete I went to.

And the last time I went to spotlight I pretended to shop so I could use their loo lol

Arrrrrrgh Stringers ........ morning

It wasn't good - or rather last night wasn't.  Why, oh why was I standing behind the door when technical abilities were handed out?  Riddle me that!

Maybe because they were not around then ..... well that is my excuse Smiley Happy

Power failure yesterday morning took my computer down ..... was concerned about it during the day ..... out to early dinner after work ..... nervously turned computer on when we got home.  Nothing, zip, nada, zilch!

Slept on it (not the computer) - just turned it on now and bingo ......... heaps of emails, messages ...... trying to get through them now Smiley Sad

Patience Kathleen!

Will be back when I have caught up - too hot to be outdoors today anyway lol

I wonder what happened to it.  My lappie did similar some months ago.  I tried to turn it on and rather than the dreaded blue screen all I could get was a blank amber screen.  I had to force shut it down and tried again a while later and it was fine.  I thought it was on it's last legs and was soon to be kaput but I haven't had a problem with it since (touch wood).

I was about to rush out and buy an iPad as a replacement and I still haven't done that.  I would like to know if anyone has an iPad mini because I like the look of that now that they have one with retina display.

j*oono - I was about to do likewise - buy a replacement - but I was also very nervous that I had lost a heap of important work even though I back it up to an external HD daily!

These things always seem to happen close to a weekend when my techie is not available!

I guess sometimes it gets caught in a sort of loop but you know me - technically inept lol

I had been thinking of a replacement or back up for some time but have really been too busy to do sufficient research and find out what would best suit my needs.

Anyway - all seems ok for the moment and when I get these work commitments done and dusted, I will have more time for research lol

I've used an ipad mini but they're too small for me..I do a lot of typing and reading on my ipad (not just the boards lol) and I found the mini's keypad too tiny...but if you're used to an iphone it'd work fine.

Karen, my research is going to start with you ...... so be prepared lol

Like you, I do a lot of reading and typing on my computer and wondered what you used.  I could not deal with the small screens either.  Anyway - I know where to come when I need to know lol

j*oono - I have absolutely no idea what 'retina display' is lol lol

I was just thinking of portability Karen but I hate typing on the iPhone.

I read a review about the iPad mini cover with a keyboard made by Logitech.  It had a good review.  I wonder where I saw that.

I think most likely I will go for the larger one.

Seriously I think I would still need a pc or laptop as well as the iPad.  iPad would be just for fun and also portable.  The retina display models are supposed to be kinder on your eyes Laney.
