Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Hi folks - here's a little word picture (couldn't find my camera in time) to brighten up your day.

9.00 a.m. I'm sitting in the lounge room having breakfast. Cat on one arm of chair, plate of toast and marmalade on the other

Phone rings; it's for Mr Elephant,. I leave my seat and go to the back door to call him - takes all of two minutes.

Return to loungeroom. Cat  is now standing on seat of chair happily licking all the marmalade off my toast.

She is 21 years old and very picky about what she'll eat - I guess we can now add Dick Smith's marmalade to her list of 'likes.'

Yep! They hang in there just to spite you. Mind you, Schooner has mellowed considerably in the last couple of years; she no longer tries to bite my hands off if I lift her off my chair - merely contents herself with snarling and spitting. And we are even able to give her .her nightly arthritis medicine without first having to wrap her tightly  in a towel. She is, however, becoming slightly forgetful in her old age and we occasionally find little visiting cards in places where thy shouldn't be.

Wow 21 yrs, she ele that's incredible! You must love that cat so much, even if it does hiss and snarl lol, having lived with it for such a long time.

I hope Schooner eventually goes as peacefully as that, Deb. We've had her here for about 13 years. She was actually my son's cat. he got herwhen she was quite young and lived at various addresses with her, then he moved in with us for some years and when he moved out again we all decided she was too old to be uprooted again so she stayed with us. We know she is at least 21 but she could be as old as 23.

it was very sad She-ele, but sort of nice at the same time. It was a little easier on me that way

and he was my childhood cat
