i'm sure most seasoned posters form their own opinion on who they consider to be the 'baddies' no matter which gang or group of friends they are part of ![]()

Speaking of goodies and baddies, I'm in love with my new slow cooker.
If you have never tried a beef and stout casserole then you have got to try this one. It's on the taste dotcom website. It was so delish and my son came back for seconds and thirds.

I made it more as a stew because I don't like to add flour to this kind of meal. You can add flour at the end to thicken it up but I like them more liquidish.
One for the journal! ๐

ah that's good you're happy with this one Joono ![]()

Yummo j*oono - and I take it you cooked it all in one pot!
Did you follow the steps exactly - browning and taking the beef and shallots out and then putting them back in with the other ingredients - or put it all in at the same time?
I just wondered whether you had to do that in a slow cooker - cos I usually toss everything in after browing the meat in a pan lol

That one isn't a slow cooker recipe Laney. I prepared it on the cooktop and then just put it in the slow cooker. I did brown the meat first and take that out but then the onion, bacon, shallots and garlic were done together and then added the mushroom.
Then put the meat back and the other things. Fantastic taste so I will definitely be doing that one again.

Thanks j*oono - I did notice it was not a slow cooker recipe and that was why I wondered whether you had done it all in the slow cooker. With that searing function I guess you could have.
It really is mouth-watering lol
We have not had dinner here yet ...... I am sure I will be able to rustle something on pretty quickly tonight though. Wished I had thought of the slow cooker before though - could have been cooking whilst the match (
) was on.

Oh, the match. Haha, I rang my mother in law when it was on to check whether she was home so I could call in, but she didn't answer.
I had to go to her area anyway to get dog biscuits from Better Pets and Gardens too. Then I realised that when the footy is on she won't answer the phone because she is an absolute fanatic! Nothing interrupts a Dockers game.
I timed it right and went to her place just as the game was finished and she was home. She laughed and said 'was that you that rang' LOL
She gave my some cute souvenier presents for looking after her garden and a box of Lindt chocs. Yum. There is dessert.
