Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Morning all.

Have we made any new year resolutions?

I have only made one.............I am not going to leave things undone.

I learnt a very valueable lesson this year....................not to leave things too late...........as you may miss your chance.

As you know I am adopted...............and I have known for 30 years who my natural father is...............he lives the top end of Tasmania.

I have never had the courage to contact him.

This year I joined facebook...........and found his son on there.............(my brother)

I thought maybe the best way to contact the family was through him.

12 months I thought about it and thought about it..........and thought about it.

But every time I chickened out.

I finally decided a couple of months ago to message him.....................only to find out he had died a few months before..............he was only 50.

I was devistated..................because I felt all my chances of conecting with my natural father had gone.

How could I turn up now..............I couldn't do that to my natural fathers wife...................turn up as his child when she had jsut lost her only son.

So if I have learnt anything for 2014 it is not to put off anything that is important.

morning everyone Smiley Happy

well, we finally crawled into bed at 4am. That person who didn't want to go had the bestest time and I had to drive us home, dropping friends off off on the way.

we were so close to the fireworks, about 20 metres away and I think we took a video (if it worked) haven't checked that out yet

I think we'll just be having a day of R & R today

It was so so so  much more to me than just missing meeting him.............I have lost the opportunity to meet any of them now.

Anyway............just a moment of self pity........I don't usually indulge.

Glad you had a great night.........we went and watched the 9.30 fireworks.............it was one of the best ones I have seen in ages.

Here is a shot our son-in-law took.
