Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

That is interesting isn't it Deb.  Not quite the idyllic holiday destination just yet.

Painters are here again and straight to work.  At least the main living area of the house is already done so I can carry on as normal.  Much cooler today and a good chance of some rain today and the rest of the week so I might visit the nursery this weekend. The weather should help new plants settle in.  I still have lots of gaps to fill in since we ripped all the mountains of rosemary out.

When I say "nursery", I mean Bunnings.  Nurseries don't seem to exist any more around here since the hardware chains took over.

They are building a huge new Bunnings near us...................Hubby will no doubt be a regular visitor.

The weather has turned really windy here...........and I had a heap of garden stuff I wanted to do............bummer.

So I had a change of plans...............and picked all my ripe tomato..........and have put them in the slow cooker to make some pasta sauce ..............smells great............I put some of our chilli in this one.

That sounds good Flashie.  How long can you keep the sauce for or can it be frozen?  I didn't try the tomato growing this year.

I tried freezing it last year when I made it..............but I found it separated a bit when I defrosted it.

It did not stop me from using it in stews and spag-bog.

This year I am doing it in jars..................I guess it will all be gone within 3 months though............of course that depends on how many jars my family pinch.

Our youngest grand daughter just loves it when I give her a jar.............she dips her BBQ shapes in it.............an unusual palate for a 3 year old.

Our grandson has tomato on toast of a morning when he is here......so it is worth us growing them.

We don't have a great deal of luck with other veggies though.

That was one of my mum's favourite things too.  Tomatoes on toast.  Your zucchinis always go well too.  Luckily zucchini and tomato goes so well together.

Morning all ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish Telstra would hurry up and sort out Prim's problem, I miss her morning posts. I love tomato and zucchini together Flashie and Joono. Last night some. Friends took us out for dinner, which was very nice of them. We went to a local Indian restaurant that OH and I hadn't tried before. It ended up being a really late night but something woke me up early this morning. I sort of wish I was still asleep, lol

I slept in today Deb.  Luckily whatsit woke up and let the painters in.  Funny you went to an Indian restaurant last night.  That's what we are having tonight too but take away.

No occasion, just what we all feel like.  It's a bit expensive now though.  Last time was on my son's birthday and it was $100 for a takeaway for us all.

it does get expensive when you're paying for a few people Joono

Despite having only about 4 hours sleep last night , we wanted to catch up with my friend who lives in Collingwood today, so she and I did the rounds of a few factory outlets over her way, and my favourtite Clear It store as well,  we finished off with a coffee and cherry pie in one of the local cafes. Home in time for OH to watch the end of the GP Had a nice day and pretty nice weather atm, though it started off a bit coolish early this morning
