Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

I planted some bits of seaside daisy that I pulled out becuase I thought it would look nice overflowing from the pot... I did it in summer and I thought they died off, but they are all starting to grow from the base now.

Love the scent of the original freesias, the coloured ones look nice but just don't have that beautiful scent

My seaside daisies have survived so far too Deb.  Both the ones in the garden and also especially the one I potted.  I am a much better pot gardener than I am in the garden (if that makes sense).

Ah well.  Had best get a move on.

Anybody thinking about their Christmas puddy or cakes yet? .........   Smiley Tongue  We're half way through the year now you know!  (Evil grin here!!)

We're going to a "Christmas in July" party in a couple of weeks, so right now, I have a whole heap of fruit "brewing" in rum, port, brandy and Grand Marnier along with heaps of ground spices, it's an old Creole recipe ... will soak for a about eight days before making the cake.

The house smells like mountain moonshine, very different.

Hope everyone is keeping warm today?

Hi Deb and j*oono

A day with little planned - except the pest company who were booked in for 8am this morning and that was about the time they cancelled .......

Irritating but not a first world problem - rebooked for next week.

I am sure we will find other things to keep us occupied - will leave that shopping stuff to you two as you are so good at it lol.

Watched the tennis last night and was really put off by some of the antics of our players and their supporters.  We have taken over the title of 'ugly' Australians from our friends across the Pacific Smiley Sad

Tempted not to watch until the cream rises to the top and demonstrates better and more mature sportsmanship.  Sad really!

What a nuisance when companies cancel at the same time they are supposed to be there, not very professional is it, not to mention time wasting if you have organised your day around it ..  Smiley Sad

Hope they do better next time xx

Hi Tas

You slipped in under cover of darkness there lol

We always used to do Christmas in July back East in the mountains where the weather was more conducive to the over-eating which goes with the celebrations.

Don't celebrate it in the west - at least we don't but I have seen you mention your Creole Cake before and it certainly had my mouth watering.  My olfactory nerves are imagination driven when I read of your current brew lol

I was mildly irritated Tas but the earth is still turning and despite the impression I got of the man being decidedly hung over, have come to accept that WA stands for 'wait awhile' when it comes to many tradesfolk.

We had organised our morning around it but nothing which cannot be replaced with something more enjoyable.

It's really good that it has not bothered you mtn ... I know it would have been a pain for us though because we are so busy finding time that would have to have been "of the essence".

The man sounding hung over would worry me a little though, can you trust that he can do the job properly?

That made me smile "WA + = Wait Awhile" ....  Smiley Very Happy

Our tradies are very much the same with the island fever syndrome here, but in general, they are not too bad and we have been more than lucky getting all the work done that we have over the past year or so (touch wood!!)

Back later xxx

Hi girls,

no, no, no - not thinking about Christmas yet.

I really hate when tradies don't turn up, but at least they called and let you know Laney...... Some don't even bother to do that
